This is the entrance to the naturist village. Just past this roundabout is a
gated entrance. A day or weekly entry ticket can be purchased allowing entry to
the village and its amenities. Once on the other side of the gate do not be
surprised to see a nude man on a bicycle or a naked woman in a phone box, or a
family shopping in a supermarket for lunch but all the family nude, this is the
normal way of things in the naturist resort.

This shows the entry channel for the Cap D'Agde naturist resort marina. This
marina is completely separate to the main Cap D'Agde resort harbour, it caters
mainly to small and medium sized boats, as the naturist resort breakwater
entrance is quite narrow and the depth of water can be as little as 1m. Apart
from these restrictions though, it is a self contained marina with a small
hardstanding area and a small crane for boat lift-out.

This picture shows a typical apartment complex within the naturist resort. Like
the rest of Cap D'Agde the apartment blocks are generally tastefully designed,
and kept to a reasonable height, avoiding the high rise monolithic tower blocks
right by the beach that became popular in some Mediterranean countries.

This picture shows the entry gate for the naturist area, all cars must pass
through this gate. Pedestrians pass through a smaller gate to the right of this
one. There is a small office to the right off picture where day visitors must
stop to buy a day pass. These can be for a single pedestrian or for a car and
occupants. On the left of the picture is a bus stop, the bus runs from Agde
through Cap D'Agde stopping at various places then loops back round to Agde.

This picture shows the fountains at the entrance area to the naturist resort.
There are an assortment of shops and immobiliers (Estate/Letting agent) offices
at the entrance just before the gate, and a short stay car park where one can
stop while buying a day pass or visiting the shops or immobilier.

The last bath of the year 31
st
December 2004, although the water could hardly be described as warm there are
always plenty of people to brave the water and shed their clothes for a nude
swim to see out the old year. Though there are usually more spectators than
participants it is always a good turnout, with the local T.V. and press
photographers in attendance for an interesting report.

The naturist beach during the autumn when it is much quieter.
This picture shows only a small part of the beach which stretches
for over a kilometre, to Marseillan plage. In the background the large
hill is Mont St Clair at Sete.
